When you’re here at the Steel Horse and decide that you’ve had enough of staring at the mountains while feeling a cool breeze and hearing a babbling creek… Here are some local outdoor recreational activities within an hour drive!
ATV/JEEP TRAILS
Hot springs
Enlighten your senses in the soothing and rejuvenating waters of some of Colorado’s Best Hot Springs.
Valley View
This quaint, clothing-optional spot is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to take in the landscapes of the Mystic San Luis Valley. There are a handful of all-natural soaking ponds, and a hot tub and sauna.
Joyful Journey
Stare at the breathtaking Sangre de Cristo Mountains in gravity-fed pools that are full of mineral waters from the range. Pools range from 98 to 110 degrees.
Mt. Princeton
This mountain resort is more luxurious and has multiple geothermal springs that feed pools with views. There are also small pools located right in the creek.
Explore the outdoors & old historic mines on a network of some of the best OHV trails in Colorado. Bonanza, CO is only a few miles up the road. Here are a few tour companies if you don’t have your own trail-appropriate wheels.
